Wayne Huang

Wayne Huang is CEO of ShareBoating and Rear Commodore of Bucklands Beach Yacht Club, the first of Asian descent in New Zealand. He is an Honorary Director of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce NZ and recipient of a 2021 Yachting New Zealand Excellence Award recognising his success and engagement in wider community, extensive networking and digital marketing services for sailing clubs and the yachting industry.

Wayne served two terms as Chairman of the Botany Community Board, Manukau City Council and the inaugural term Howick Local Board, Auckland Council, the first of Asian descent. He was also a business advisor to ATEED. He was elected as the first Asian member of the Board of Trustees at Sunnyhills Primary School, Auckland. He is also the first President of National Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou Alumni Association in New Zealand.

Wayne has built up an extensive network of business relationships between China and New Zealand and is well known for his significant contribution to investment, education and business sectors in New Zealand. Eliminating ethnic barriers and facilitating integration is a motivation for Wayne.
