ShareBoating is the marine digital marketplace for charter, brokerage, training and events and is an affiliate of one of New Zealand’s most successful tertiary education providers, the Institute of Commercial Education NZ. ShareBoating has recognised a lack of knowledge and experience amongst Auckland’s wider community that is preventing them from enjoying the water sports on the region’s waterways. A digital platform has been created to capture the potential of this opportunity and leverage well established networks within the wider community.
Auckland is situated on the Hauraki Gulf which gives its citizens the chance to get on the water in a variety of ways. ShareBoating recognises that on the water activities require training and experience for enjoyment in a safe surrounding. The company has put together a range of on and off water experiences and training courses accessible through a unique technology platform that provides the knowledge and practical experience needed to enjoy our waterways in safety.

WHY SHAREBOATING?
ShareBoating has created a unique, bilingual digital marketplace aimed at introducing water recreation and training to New Zealanders, particularly those in the growing Asian Community. This includes four key services:
- Select group charters for sailing, fishing, cruising and sightseeing
- A wide range of training, including Coastguard Boating Education, Junior Learn to Sail.
- Brokerage and concierge to know you’ve bought the right boat and enjoy using it.
- Events for corporate and the wider community.
